Outdoor 2011 Micro House League Program

Recreational program for players, both boys and girls, born between 2004 to 2008 inclusive.  The season starts in May and runs until the end of August.

Micro soccer
2008
  • one 1-hour session per week, Tuesday morning, Saturday morning or Friday night.   Two packages to pick from, Spring or Summer each 6 weeks in length.
  • a new instructor-led package, intended to be a fun introduction to soccer for these young players
  • full uniform (including team shirt, shorts and socks) is provided plus a ball, shin-pads and a water bottle

2007
  • one 1-hour session per week, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday night
  • similar in format to the U5 program described below
  • a parent must attend and participate with each child
U5
Micro soccer
2006
  • one 1-hour session per week, Monday, Wednesday or Friday night
  •  6-8 players per team, 3 players on the field 
  • focus is on development (scrimmages but no formal games)
  • full uniform (including team shirt, shorts and socks) is provided plus a ball, shin-pads and a water bottle
  • players receive a participation Trophy on the final night of play

  • two 1-hour sessions per week, currently only scheduled between Monday and Thursday
  • separate boys and girls divisions
  • players receive shorts, socks and shirt
  • 7-10 players per team
  • focus is on development (no formal games)
  • large pylons used as goal posts, with no goalie.

  • two 1-hour sessions per week, currently only scheduled between Monday and Thursday
  • separate boys and girls divisions
  • 7-10 players per team
  • focus is on development (no formal games)
  • a goalie is used during all games but players rotate through the positions
  • at the end of the season, the best and most motivated house league players are approached about the Advanced Skills Clinic, run through the winter, with a view to playing competitive the next spring
