The U10 Girls coached by Edwin Ortiz, John Morelli and Laura Ortiz advanced undefeated to the finals in the Niagara United Soccer Tournament on the weekend of Aug 21/22. With a heartbreaking loss in the final, the team finished as the finalist. The team enjoyed a great 2nd half of the season after a slow start. It was inspiring and a pleasure to see how much the team evolved after their experience in the Niagara Soccer Tournament. The players continued to show a great deal of enthusiasm and determination in their second half league games. At the Lake Simcoe Girls Rep tournament on September 11th and 12th, the girls made it all the way to the finals again (after an intense semi final – won by a shoot out).. but unfortunately, failed to clinch the gold cup.
