U10 Boys All-Star Team – Lake Simcoe Tournament Champs! On July 24th and 25th, the U10 boys all-star Markham Hornets participated in the Lake Simcoe All-Star Tournament. The boys were very excited and came out strong and determined, winning their first
 match against East York 3-1. Chris G, Chris R, and John K scored, and the game MVP was Nathan B.Their second game versus Pickering saw the boys come back from 2-0 to tie the game 2-2. John K scored both goals and was named the game MVP. Markham secured its spot in the finals with a 3-1 win against HEAD (Hillsburgh, Erin and District). Cole H, Chris R, and Nathan B scored, while the game MVP was Chris R. The Hornets faced local rivals Stouffville in the finals. With quick forwards (Jack W, Luke B, John K, Cole H, Chris R, Chris G), solid midfielders (Nathan B, Nathan M, and Nathan L), aggressive defense (Jaiden C, Konrad K, Daniel S, and Dante V), and a fearless goalie (Ben S), the Hornets secured the championship with a 3-0 win. Luke B, Chris R, and Dante V scored, and the game MVP was Chris G. Congratulations to Ben S for his shut-out. Under the excellent direction of Coaches Richard Stanton and Bryan Santarossa, the whole team worked together and supported each other and deserved the championship.
