The U10 Boys Markham Hornets All-star team won the John Traganitis All-Star Tournament in Aurora on the September 18-19 weekend. The boys were undefeated, winning 3-0 against Barrie, 1-0 against North York Azurri, and 7-0 against Peterborough in the round robin. In the semi-finals they faced Whitby and won 4-1. In the finals they played Woodbridge and, although it was a close game, Markham won 3-2. The team had a great season – they won two of the three tournaments they entered and were finalists in the third. Above all, the boys forged new friendships and developed excellent soccer skills and gelled as a team.
